Gault&Millau: Benoît Carcenat awarded Chef of the Year 2023 and 18 points for La Table du Valrose. Michelin: a first star.

On Monday 7 November 2022, the emotion was intense at the Valrose. The Haute Gastronomie of Switzerland was invited to the press conference for the announcement of the 2023 winners of the Gault&Millau Swiss edition. A unique moment for the Valrose team who attended the success of their chef. Benoît Carcenat, receive the title of Chef of the Year 2023, the highest Gault&Millau distinction.
The restaurant La Table du Valrose also received 18 points in the famous gastronomic guide after being awarded of a first star by the Michelin Guide at the national ceremony held on 17 October at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
Just one year after Benoît Carcenat and his wife Sabine took over the helm/management of the Valrose, these awards are a real achievement and recognition of the exceptional work of the passionate team that works alongside them every day, including Mathieu Quetglas, Sommelier of the Year 2022, Victor Moriez, Chef de Cuisine and Josselin Jacquet, Chef Pâtissier.
